How to Empty Trash On Android?

Before starting, I want to clarify that there is no default recycle bin on android. Still, in new android mobiles, many companies are adding recently deleted folders in their customized android OS.

You will get two recently deleted folders, one in your gallery app and one in your file manager app.

  • Go to Your Gallery App.
  • Find Recently Deleted Folder.
  • Here You will see all images and videos which you recently deleted from the gallery app.
  • These images and videos are still taking storage of your mobile.
  • Select pictures and videos and click on delete.

Similarly, You can go to your file manager app and find the recently deleted folder and remove or recover data present in this folder according to your need.

Delete Duplicate Files, images, Videos, and Audios

Duplicate data can take a lot of space on your mobile, so it’s essential to kick out them from your device immediately. Still, it is not easy to manually detect or find duplicate files or pictures, so that we will use an app for it.

There are many apps available on the play store for this task, but I will recommend Duplicate File Remover.

Cached data are just junk files created by apps, and it is safe to delete them.

To clear cached of any app, follow these simple steps.

  • Click and hold on to the app icon.
  • Click on app info.
  • Go to Storage usage of App (In some phones, you will see cached data option on the main page of app info.)
  • Now click on clear cached.

Uninstall Unused Apps

Sometimes we use any app just one or a few times, and then we never use them again, and now they are just junk for you, and these apps will take a lot of storage on your phone, so it’s good to uninstall apps that you don’t use.

  • Click and hold on to the app.
  • Now click on uninstall.

Delete Unnecessary Files

We have discussed deleting duplicate files above, but it is not enough.

Sometimes we download any file or photo for any task or information from the internet, or someone sends them to us on WhatsApp or by email. After our task is done, we don’t need that file anymore, so it’s better to remove them from your phone instead of keeping them without any reason.

  • Open File Manager
  • Go To Download folder and find unnecessary files.
  • Go to the WhatsApp Document folder and delete unnecessary files.
